Energy Management

Renewable energy is one of the methods that EPS implemented. We adopted the company's vision to develop energy efficiency such as renewable energy in a factory, solar energy, wind energy, etc. As renewable energy is clean energy from nature that can be renewed and reused without limits. It is clear that almost environment problem comes from a factory is the main problem, which directly affects the environment, so connecting and bringing the innovations and technology of renewable energy to a factory could reduce the negative impact on the environment, such as increasing environmentally friendly, reducing carbon dioxide emissions that build greenhouse gas air pollution. In conclusion, the efficiency management of energy could conduct a positive impact on environmental sustainability. We appreciate the importance of renewable energy which lead to 14 Waste heat generator projects producing 160 MW power including domestic and regional countries, and 16 Solar energy projects generating 88MWp power from solar farm, floating solar, and solar roof in order to reduce CO2 emission around 698000 ton-CO2/year
 

Cement Business target and control air emissions in accordance with WBCSD-CSI. Dust oxides of nitrogen and sulfur dioxide emission from kiln shall not exceed 150 g/clinker, 1,700 g/clinker and 120 g/clinker, respectively.

Industrial Waste Power Plant

Industrial Waste Power Plant

Every year we face industrial waste such as contaminated materials, silicone, insulation, spray can, and so on from industrial estate about 6,500 ton/year and also the industrial waste occurred from container and transportation. Therefore, we implemented the industrial waste management focusing on optimized transportation by using the Mapthaphut Eco-Energy plant as pilot areas. We also designed power plant with gasifier and ash melting technology to generate 8 MW electricity supply to PEA.

Solar Energy

Solar Energy

We installed the solar as infinity power to generate clean energy at our building and factory, which is the roof, farm, and float. Overall, the solar energy designed generated power 50 MW.

AF (Alternative Fuel)

Biomass power plant

The Siam Cement (Thung Song) implemented the biomass power plant in early of 2015 in order to decrease fossil fuel/coal usage. We generated the power from alternative fuel such as straw, corn cobs, and other waste from plastic and textile industries by reforming it to fuel pellets. We adopted circulating fluidize bed boiler technology and designed the 2-stage pressure cycle with back-pressure and condensing steam turbine which can generate power of 8.3 MW

Environment

Bag Filter

The process of cement production generated a lot of dust. If the dust spread out to the community or the area near the plant, it will harm people and the surrounding environment. Therefore, we used the bag filter in every cement plants in our company to lower emissions control and dust outlet.

Water Treatment

Water Treatment

We consider wastewater treatment as water use for retaining environment; we concern about wastewater out of your plant will damage other people, wildlife, and nature the surrounding. Therefore, we designed the wastewater management system in our plant—the wastewater system in our plant for treating industrial wastewater into reclaimed water which decreased wastewater discharge of more than million cubic meters per year.
